Workout Tips for Women by Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone has been in the limelight for most of her adult life. Not only due to her career graph, but also the focus and dedication with which she has succeeded in the highly competitive Indian film industry. The key necessity for surviving and succeeding in the limelight being amazing good looks and the right attitude and Sunny has oodles of both. In addition, she has always maintained a fit and graceful figure which is a must in her chosen line of work. So what are Sunny’s fitness secrets?!

Sunny has always maintained a certain image and look that she desired. The only way to keep fit is to eat right and exercise. The beautiful actress understands that maintaining a strict diet and exercise schedule makes all the difference in the world. Despite her busy schedule she eats healthy and her diet comprises lots of vegetables and milk. Even before making forays into Bollywood, she used to spend a lot of time at the gym. But considering her hectic schedule, exercising everyday is not possible anymore. But she makes it a point to burn calories through various exercises. As burning calories is her main focus, she prefers cardio and free weight exercises over strength training with heavy weights. She also engages in boxing to strengthen her arms and upper body. For her lower body, she does a lot of cycling.

The days when she is not shooting, Sunny works out for two hours at a stretch in the gym, but on a busy day she ends up spending just 30 minutes on the stationary bike. But she ensures that one way or the other she manages to burn 500 to 600 calories in each session.

She believes that fitness is subjective and everyone should work-out their own exercise regimen as per their body type and lifestyle.

We can draw some inspiration by studying the various exercise routines followed by the sexy diva to maintain her figure and image.

  Gymming:

Sunny spends a lot of time at the gym and considers it as her second home. She loves being surrounded by her gym equipment and maintains the curvaceous figure that she has worked hard on. She believes that spending time in a gym is very important in charting a healthy lifestyle. And she advocates discipline and regularity. Gymming once in a while is no good; like all healthy habits, exercising should be a part of your daily routine to be taken up in a serious and disciplined manner.

  Yoga:

Sunny is trained in Bikram Yoga and feels that Yoga can have amazing effects on your mind and body. It helps relaxing and disciplining the mind, controls excessive binge eating and helps weight management and overall toning and firming of the body. But it is important to be regular with your yoga routine for it to bear fruits. Simple yoga poses done within 20 – 30 minutes can add a spark to your day and totally change your life. Yoga is also intrinsic in maintaining a healthy life as it curbs a lot of lifestyle related health issues.

  Pilates:

Another form of exercise that the beautiful diva engages in is pilates. It helps in burning a lot of calories and improves body shape. Regularly practising pilates increases stamina and energy levels and also imparts much needed flexibility to the body. The awesome on screen dance moves that we have seen from Sunny is proof enough of this fact.

Squats:

Sunny thinks that the lower body is the main problem area for most women. To counter this, she does squats on a regular basis. It keeps her lower body in shape and also tones her abs. She also likes challenging her body by doing many variations of the squat. This keeps her fit and also breaks the monotony of doing the same exercise repeatedly. Moreover, our bodies get used to a certain pattern. Hence, incorporating variations in your exercise regimen ensures that the body limits are constantly being challenged and extended.

  Lunges

The graceful actress keeps her legs in shape by doing lunges. This exercise also enhances core strength. Like the squat, there are quite a number of variations for the lunge.

Walking

Sunny advises everyone to take a 20 to 30 minutes walk daily. A mundane routine considered by many, walking can be a great start to your day. Though a simple walking routine can prove to be enough stimulation for the body, fitness enthusiasts can also practice Power Walking. According to Livestrong.com, “Power walking is a low-impact way to improve cardiovascular endurance and total body strength.” The proper technique for Power Walking needs to be adopted to challenge your body to the fullest.

  Cycling

The pretty Ms. Leone does a lot of cycling and focuses on exercising her lower body and keeping it in shape. Cycling also strengthens her back and builds core muscles. She spends a lot of time on her favorite stationary bike as it tones her abs and proves to be a cathartic stress busting routine.

The secret to a fit lifestyle is habit and dedicating time to it. Sunny Leone mentions time and again that she is able to maintain her fitness levels because she works hard on her exercise routine and spends a lot of time engaging in it. So to follow Sunny’s mantra, take out time and hit the gym!
